Okay, so I have posted quite a few anti-gun control photos on my Facebook in the recent past. I have this one “friend,” who obviously doesn’t like what I’ve got to say. One recent photo I posted had to do with the response time of the police being somewhere around 3-4 minutes, and the response time of an AR-15 being a number in the thousands of feet per second. This genius comes back at me in a comment with, “Exactly why the average citizen should have such a firearm.” My response was, “Exactly what part of the picture defines why the average citizen shouldn’t have an AR-15? Was it the slow response time of the police, or the speed at which the round exits the chamber that is the disqualifying factor?”
Of course, being the liberal retard that he is, he proceeded to avoid answering my question, and simply spewed personal opinion with no facts whatsoever to back them up. That is what’s prompting me to write this post today, so I’ll get straight to the point:
I have worked in the firearms industry, with precise knowledge of the laws regarding the sale of firearms according to current federal law, as well as the laws of my state and surrounding states. I have worked in sporting goods stores, and have a very good understanding of the use of firearms, and what firearms work better than others in many situations. I am also a United States Marine Corps veteran. Yes, that means I, at one time, wrote a blank check to this country for any sum, up to, and including my own life, in defense of your freedoms. All of this said, I have this blog, not only to educate people, but to engage in debate from time to time. Here’s the thing: If you come at me with nothing but personal opinions, and ridiculous nonsense, essentially spewing everything you heard on CNN or NBC, the first time, I’ll simply point out the error in your logic. If I find myself having a second debate with you and it’s the same ridiculous nonsense, I’ll most likely do everything I can to ban you from this blog. I don’t have time to sit around and debate a Piers Morgan clone. Have a problem with that? Go fuck your self. HOWEVER, if you come to me with an opinion that makes sense, are willing to discuss it, including defending your opinion with facts, OR, if you come to me asking questions about the laws on firearms, your comments and questions are not only welcomed, but encouraged! I have a wealth of knowledge when it comes to firearms, and various other topics, and I jump at the chance to share that knowledge with someone who could possibly benefit from it.
